About Trillian's Bowtique:
Trillian is the name of our beautiful 2 1/2 year old daughter. She is our special gift in life. During my pregnancy, they told us that she had Trisomy 18 (a genetic disorder) and that she wouldn't live past birth. All that we could do was have faith that the universe had a purpose for our little girl. Trillian was born on 12/1/06. She did NOT have Trisomy 18. But that doesn't mean that she doesn't have other everyday challenges. Shortly after birth, Trillian was diagnosed with VACTERL Syndrome. She has an abnormal right thumb, only one kidney, and a heart murmur. In November 2007 we found out that she had a tethered spinal cord and on 12/11/07 Trillian had to have spine surgery @ Duke University Medical Center. I am so happy to say that Trillian is now doing great. At times we were thrown what seemed like big obstacles, but now we can breath a sigh of relief.
Trillian is a very active 2 year old. She loves to do anything involving arts & crafts. She loves going to the library and the park. Trillian means the world to me. I enjoy spending time with her. It makes me so happy to be able to say that I'm her Mommy.
